Nature

Living in a rural part of Oregon, I am surrounded by nature. Whether it is on a river, up on a mountain ridge or sitting in my yard, my eye is drawn to the plant shapes and movement of birds or other wildlife. 2020’s “Shelter in Place” (before the Holiday Farm Fire) gave me a new view of the six acres I lived on. I spent a month plein air painting every afternoon in my own yard. You may see a hint of ink work on a landscape—a harbinger of things to come.
