Educate the Girls of the World

Educate the Girls of the World grew from Margaret Godfrey’s response to the barriers that still prevent millions of girls from receiving an education. Inspired by countries where girls face especially limited opportunities, the sixteen-painting series uses symbolic imagery, color, pattern, and figures to explore education as a path toward knowledge, independence, confidence, and opportunity. The work reflects Margaret’s conviction that educating girls strengthens not only individual lives, but families and communities as well.

Each painting shows a girl’s hand reaching for the infinity symbol, representing the endless possibilities that knowledge and education can bring.

These paintings are currently not for sale, as the artist is seeking a home for the entire collection.
